Irish British Friesian Club

BREEDING & GROWING

Established in 2003 by a group of Irish farmers with a keen interest in breeding British Friesian cows. The club operates under the auspices of the Irish Holstein Friesian Association (IHFA) and shares a commitment to breeding pedigree registered quality animals suited to sustaining family farming in Ireland.

We are breeding pedigree cows & bulls, while growing a club & community of family farms, able to sustainably plan for the future.

The British Friesian cow is the ideal breed for low cost systems: High solids. Excellent fertility. Easy maintenance. High value offspring.

High Achievers

Showtime!

Time to shine in the ring.

Each August, the club puts on hospitality and supports club members showing animals in any of the three classes dedicated to British Friesians: Calf, Heifer in Milk, and Senior Cow.

It's always a great club day, an opportunity to celebrate these gorgeous animals and the owners that turn them out to perfection. Over the years the number of British Friesians shown, the numbers of club exhibitors, and the number of young handlers have all increased; these are strong signs for the future!
